Christine Gorchinsky
Hello there! I’m Christine, a passionate individual with a diverse background in Wildlife Photography and Veterinary Health. While my journey began with capturing the beauty of nature, my heart also resonates with celebrating the unique bond between people and their beloved pets.
With nearly a decade of experience, I find profound joy in this artistry—it truly feeds my soul. Supporting local initiatives is at the core of my ethos, and I’ve been fortunate to receive reciprocal support from numerous NGOs, fellow artists, and countless families. It’s a symbiotic relationship that I hold deeply.
My work has been showcased on esteemed platforms such as Wild Wise Society, Victoria Buzz, and The Cowichan Watershed Board. Additionally, I’ve had the honor of discussing my photography of local Elk herds on CBC—a testament to the impact of my endeavors.
The year 2022 marked a significant milestone in my burgeoning photography career, with two publications recognizing my work as ‘Best of the Week’ and ‘Photographer of the Year’ by The Universe of Colour Photography. By 2023, I embarked on a collaborative journey with renowned indigenous artist Adele ᒪᐢᑿᓱᐏᐢᑵᐤ Arseneau, documenting one of her remarkable creations. This partnership led to the publication of an exhibition catalogue—a proud achievement in my portfolio. My ultimate goal is to capture the profound connections between people and the world they’ve created for themselves. I invite you to join me on this journey of coalescence—where elements merge to form a harmonious whole.
Let’s collaborate and create something extraordinary! Fun fact: I have a penchant for deep-fried pickles, belting out tunes in my car, and my friends fondly refer to me as ‘X’.
